Students and staff have returned to Oberon High School for 2014 and are looking forward to more successful achievements in the coming year. This year our school welcomes 235 students, with Year 11 having the most students of all years.
Returning students will notice a change to the bell time structure of the normal school day. The first bell of the day will mark the start of Period 1, rather than Roll Call class. Teachers will mark attendance rolls in every class and this information will automatically update in the school records.
Another change is that the school assembly will be held during the day rather than at the start of the school day. Individual student achievements will be showcased at school assemblies, and parents are invited to attend and enjoy these performances at 12:20pm on Mondays.
A busy year of activities at our school starts next Thursday, 6thFebruary with the annual swimming carnival to be held at the Oberon Aquatic Centre in Cunynghame Street, Oberon. Staff and students are reminded to bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses and suitable clothes to provide protection from the sun.
